🍗🧄 Garlic Fried Chicken Recipe – Crispy, Juicy & Flavor-Packed!🍗🧄

Ingredients:

  • 500 g chicken (drumsticks or thighs work best)

  • 1 cup buttermilk (or plain yogurt, whisked)

  • 2 tbsp soy sauce

  • 1 tbsp vinegar or lemon juice

  • 1 tbsp ginger-garlic paste

  • 1 tsp chili powder

  • Salt & pepper (to taste)

For Coating:

  • 1 cup all-purpose flour

  • ½ cup cornflour (for extra crispiness)

  • 1 tsp garlic powder

  • 1 tsp paprika or chili powder

  • ½ tsp black pepper powder

  • Salt (to taste)

For Garlic Sauce (Optional):

  • 2 tbsp butter

  • 6–7 garlic cloves (finely chopped)

  • 1 tbsp soy sauce

  • 1 tbsp chili sauce (adjust to spice level)

  • 1 tsp honey


Method:

  1. Marinate Chicken:

    • Mix buttermilk, soy sauce, vinegar, ginger-garlic paste, chili powder, salt, and pepper.

    • Add chicken, coat well, cover, and refrigerate for at least 2 hours (overnight gives best flavor).

  2. Prepare Coating:

    • In a bowl, mix flour, cornflour, garlic powder, paprika, pepper, and salt.

    • Remove chicken from marinade and dredge in flour mixture.

    • For extra crunch: dip back into marinade and re-coat in flour.

  3. Fry Chicken:

    • Heat oil in a deep pan.

    • Fry chicken on medium heat until golden brown and cooked through (about 12–15 mins depending on size).

    • Drain on paper towels.

  4. Garlic Sauce (Optional):

    • In a small pan, melt butter and sauté chopped garlic until golden.

    • Add soy sauce, chili sauce, and honey. Mix well.

    • Toss fried chicken in this sauce for a spicy-garlicky glaze.

  5. Serve:

    • Enjoy hot with coleslaw, fries, or a fresh salad.


Tip: Double frying makes the chicken extra crispy if you like Korean-style fried chicken.
