🥘🐂 Wagyu Biryani Recipe – A Royal Fusion of Luxury and Tradition🥘🐂

Ingredients:

For the Wagyu Beef:

  • 500 g Wagyu beef (cut into cubes or strips)

  • 3 tbsp yogurt

  • 1 tbsp ginger-garlic paste

  • 1 tsp red chili powder

  • ½ tsp turmeric powder

  • 1 tsp garam masala

  • ½ tsp cumin powder

  • Salt (to taste)

For the Rice:

  • 2 cups basmati rice (soaked 30 mins)

  • 4 cups water

  • 2–3 green cardamom pods

  • 1 bay leaf

  • 1 cinnamon stick

  • 4–5 cloves

  • Salt (to taste)

Other Ingredients:

  • 3 medium onions (thinly sliced, fried until golden)

  • 2 medium tomatoes (chopped)

  • 2 green chilies (slit)

  • ¼ cup fresh coriander (chopped)

  • ¼ cup fresh mint leaves

  • 3 tbsp ghee or butter

  • ½ cup warm milk with a pinch of saffron


Method:

  1. Marinate Wagyu Beef:

    • Mix yogurt, ginger-garlic paste, chili powder, turmeric, garam masala, cumin, and salt.

    • Coat Wagyu beef and marinate for at least 1 hour (overnight preferred).

  2. Cook Rice:

    • Boil water with whole spices and salt.

    • Add soaked rice and cook until 70% done. Drain and set aside.

  3. Prepare Wagyu Masala:

    • Heat ghee in a heavy-bottomed pot.

    • Add onions and fry until golden.

    • Add tomatoes, green chilies, and marinated Wagyu beef.

    • Cook on medium heat until beef is tender and masala thickens.

  4. Layer Biryani:

    • In the same pot, spread half of the rice.

    • Add Wagyu beef masala layer, sprinkle coriander, mint, and fried onions.

    • Top with remaining rice.

    • Drizzle saffron milk and a little ghee over the top.

  5. Dum Cooking:

    • Cover tightly and cook on low flame for 20–25 minutes.

    • Let it rest for 10 minutes before serving.

  6. Serve:

    • Gently fluff with a fork.

    • Serve hot with raita or salad.


Tip: Since Wagyu is tender and fatty, cook on low heat to preserve its rich flavor.
